It sues TSQL to fetch the data and Tabular Data stream to access it on internet. You don’t need to manage infrastructure. Microsoft will charge from you for maintaining the database online.

What is SQL Server Authentication?

As per the word Authentication, it’s the process of verification whether someone using the particular utility or thing is the actual user or not. This verification is called as authentication.

There are different mechanism exists for authentication, for applications generally we use user login and password for authentication process.

SQL Server has two type of Authentication.

1.      SQL Server Authentication

2.      Windows Authentication

3.      Mixed Mode Authentication

SQL Server Authentication: User will be provided separate user name and password for SQL Server and can be login in to SQL server using that only.

Windows Authentication: User can login in to SQL Server using windows login i.e. SQL Server automatically take the user’s window login and use it as login credentials for SQL Server.

Mixed Mode: you can use both windows and SQL Server Authentication to login into SQL Server.

For SQL Server authentication mode you can decide on your security need.

What is SQL Server Analysis Service?

Analysis service is Microsoft analytics tool which is used for OLAP and also popular as SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Service). Using Analysis services user can design multidimensional data structure which can be used for generating the reports.

Analysis service takes the data from different relational data sources and an integrated component of MS BI suite. It stores the data into multidimensional cubes.

What is SQL Server Agent?

SQL Server Agent is a SQL Server Service which runs job. It runs the scheduled jobs and creates other related information.

While expanding management section in SQL Server management studio you can see SQL Server Agent. You have to start SQL Server agent service before using it. SQL Server agent can provide you alerts of job failures.

Is SQL already exist what is TSQL and what is difference between SQL and TSQL. 

 As specified already in the previous post SQL is structured query language which is the set of rules defined by ANSI. Using those rules and putting some advance features Microsoft have created there on query language which is know as TSQL which stands for Transact SQL.

TSQL has it separate syntaxes in built function and features which incorporate the basic rules of SQL defined by ANSI. Using TSQL you can do the operation related to SQL Server Databases.

What is SQL

When I was in engineering I heard the word SQL in my curriculum. Every engineers or people who have done any computer course or have done some sort of computer programming may have heard the word SQL or have tried to learn the SQL.

The first question comes in mind what is SQL or the full form of SQL. Till a long time even I was not aware about the correct abbreviation.  If some asks me about the full form of SQL I use to confuse between Sequential Query Language and Structured Query Language. Finally I googled and came to know the correct full form of

 SQL is Structured Query Language.

Now the Question comes:  What is SQL?

SQL stands for structured query language, i.e.  SQL is a programming language to deal with the database operations. It’s a set of rules which were defined by ANSI to deal with database related operations queries. In other words the ASNI has provided the basic programming Language for database operations.
